Hall of Fame Handler – Rick Smith has a lifetime of experience training a wide variety of bird dog breeds.
Feel free to ask as many questions as you want, it will help both you and your dog and fellow participants learn. Also, there will be an array of different dog behaviors and personalities here during the seminar. It is a great opportunity to watch how different dogs respond to different environments and different stimuli. Reading a dog’s behavior is a very important component of training dogs. So even if it isn’t your turn to work your dog, there is a lot to learn during the seminar! Have fun and learn, you will not regret this weekend!

Jewel with her fast paced work in the field is typical Bondhu line style of pointing birds and retrieves to hand. While fast in the field she is very gentle at home in the house.
Jewel is a Tri colored Blue Belton.

King (Highway Dan son) has a nice high tail style when pointing. He hunts close and holds point on his birds; naturally backs and is retrieving to hand. He is producing these same traits in his offspring. King is a NLGDC Champion, he is very mellow in the house and is a Tri-Color.

Royal (Royacelle Line) has proven to have a natural point and back from 2 months old. A very methodical worker when in the field he doesn’t miss many birds and retrieves to hand. These traits have passed to his offspring; and he along with five of his pups have achieved NLGDC Champion titles. Royal loves to swim, and likes to curl up with us at home on the couch. Royal is Black & White.
